In a true feat of physical and mental endurance, George and Olly arrived in Nelson's Port Antigua on Thursday evening after 39 days, 10 hours and 50 minutes on the Atlantic Ocean.
There was extra cause for celebration as Thursday was also George's 30th birthday!
The pair finished 13th out of 43 crews that took to the water. Their achievement is all the more remarkable given that their autohelm broke within the first couple of days. Meaning that they were not able to steer automatically and one of them had to be manually steering at all times. This made their task significantly harder for the duration.
All of this was in aid of The Wave Wranglers partnership with British Heart Foundation, so far they have raised over £65,000. There is still time to donate via this link.
The lads can now put their feet up and enjoy a well deserved beer and some time with family before heading back to the UK. Hopefully we will see George back on the field before the end of the season, after he's had a few good meals!
